Hello everyone, today I am going to be talking about a science experiment me and my class did last term. This was really fun to do. Now I will be telling you about what acid is.
Acid is a colourless, odourless liquid. For consumption, an acid manufacturer typically drips the liquid onto absorbent, colourful paper squares called blotter papers. Each blotter paper can have several “tabs.” One tab is usually enough to induce a trip. LSD is also sometimes sold as capsules, pills, or sugar cubes. Now I will be telling you about what alkali is.
Alkali is a basic, ionic salt of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal. An alkali can also be defined as a base that dissolves in water. A solution of a soluble base has a pH greater than 7.0.
Indicators are substances that change colour when they are added to acidic or alkaline solutions. Litmus, phenolphthalein, and methyl orange are all indicators that are commonly used in the laboratory.
We used 4 different types of indicators (to change the color). We used the Cranberry Juice, Tea, Curry Powder (turmeric) and Universal Indicator.
The Cranberry Juice turned the colour into a type of green. Then the Tea turned into an orangery type colour and the last one Curry Powder turned into yellow.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Have a good day or night goodbye.
