SLJ 2 (Hometown)

Hi guys and girl's

Today I'm going to be doing my Summer Learning Journey. This blog post I'm going to be talking about my Hometown.

I live In the North Island of NZ. My place In my country Is Christchurch. There are a lot of people that are nice. I think my country is special because we don't have much earthquakes and other destroy able things that happens often other then other country. New Zealand became the first country to give women the right to vote.
Sir Edmund Hillary was the first person to climb Mount Everest and he was a New Zealander.

Hope you guys and girl's enjoyed this blog post about my hometown. This is also for my Summer Learning Journey like I said in the intro. Have a good day and see you next time bye!

  1. Malo E Lele Lennox,

Thank you for sharing this story about your hometown with me. I like the way that you have explained Christchurch in detail by saying that the city is located in the South* island of New Zealand! I thought it might be a good to point this out because I know how confusing South and North can be sometimes :)

I am from a city named Busan in South Korea but now I am living in a city named Auckland in the North island of NZ! Have you been to Auckland before? If you haven't, what are the TOP 3 places you would like to visit? I have been to Christchurch a couple of times because some of my friends live down there and I loved Sumner Beach!! Do you like to spend time at the beach during summer Lennox?

I also like how you have mentioned some interesting facts about New Zealand. It is always a great idea to mention the country's success and to feel proud about where we live. Did you know Sir Edmund Hillary is the face of our five dollar note? You will get to think more about the questions you might want to ask him for one of our SLJ activities later on!

    Talk soon,
    Susie
