Hello everyone, today I am going to be showing you probably the longest story I have ever done. We did this story for Hurumanu. This was a pretty fun story to make. We basically had to write a story about "a world without wheels" like it says on the title. But I changed it up and it basically was a world that cannot afford wheels. Here is my story.
“BASH BASH!” as axes were chopping down trees, people were getting material to build more houses and expand their land. They were stuck in the sky. There was nowhere or no way to get down.
“BASH!” Mully bashed her axe into a tree.
“Pick up the paste” Captain Andrew said.
“Ye-yes sir” Mully replied exhaustadly. She was thinking why everyone didn’t have anything to move around in…. But she was ready and dedicated to fix that problem and make a plan. She dropped her axe and sprinted to the public farm.
After a little while of running later……….
She finally made it. Mully went straight to the wheat stacks. She had the dumbest idea but she still didn’t hesitate to see if it would work or not.
“Hey! What are you doing!?” Captain Andrew said frustratedly.
“Well…. Since we aren’t all wealthy and rich I thought of an idea to make the wheel that we used to have.” Mully replied nervously.
“That’s an amazing idea and all…. But we don’t have the time for you to take time off.” Captain said to her.
“Just a week and 3 people that's all I need please” Mully bowed and prayed to Captain Andrew.
“Only 2 people and 5 days,” Captain said hoping she would accept.
“Okay!” Mully shouted happily. Captain went back to the main working place and got 2 men for Mully.
5 Minutes later.
“I think we are in the right spot” Adam said (1 of the men).
“Yea” Oscar replied to Adam (The 2nd man).
“Oh you’re here” Mully said excitedly that Captain didn’t lie.
“Um…… Yes Miss!” both of them said.
“So could you 2 do me a favor please.” Mully asked politely.
“Yea sure, what is it?” both of them asked.“Could one of you’se get as much wheat as you can hold.” Mully asked nicely to one of them.
Both of them look at each other.
“I will do it” Oscar said.
“Thanks, and you, what’s both of your names?” Mully asked.
Both Adam and Oscar introduced themselves.
“Okay, so Adam could you go get tools, they are back in the main village place.” Mully asked Adam.
“Yes Miss!” Adam said proudly.
30 Minutes later.
Oscar comes back before Adam.
“I’m here Miss!” Oscar said.
“Oh hello, could you just drop it on the ground please” Mully replied.
Oscar dropped on the ground and they waited a few minutes for Adam to get back.
They started discussing the plan and how to make the “wheels”. After discussing how to make it they walked over to the stacks of wheat.
Mully rolled up a bit of wheat and got a bit of string to stick the wheat together. Once she tied it up together she looked at it and imagined it as if it was a wheel.
“So…… what do we do with this?” Adam asked confused.
“Yea, what's the point of making this?” Oscar also asked confused.
“Well… since our place can’t make or afford wheels, I thought these should work.” Mully said hoping they’d agree.
“Oh okay” Both Adam and Oscar said.
They carry on doing the same thing for a few hours.
“Hey Adam and Oscar, could you 2 go and get a wheelbarrow base so we could test if this works or not.” Mully asked both of them.
“Sure” both of them said.
Both of them ran out of the farm place and went to the scrap yard to find a wheelbarrow base.
5 minutes later.
“We are back,” Oscar said.
“Oh could you please give that to me.” Mully asked.
“Oh sure” both of them said while carrying the wheelbarrow base to Mully.
Mully took it and put the “wheel” into the place where the proper tire should be. She started to fit it into the right sport.
After fiddling with it for a little bit it fit perfectly into the base of the wheelbarrow.
“Perfect!” Mully yelled in excitement.
“Yay!” Both Adam and Oscar said in excitement as well.
“Let's go show captain to see if it works or not” Mully standed up and started pushing the wheelbarrow like it was normal.
After a few minutes of walking they made it to the captains house.
“Knock, Knock, Knock,” as Mully was knocking on her captain's door.
“SQUEAK,” Captain Andrew opened the door.
“What is it Mully?” he said.
“Me, Oscar and Adam finished the project and we are 99.9 percent (%) sure that it works.” Mully said happily but nervous at the same time.
“Okay, did you take it here?” Captain asked.
“ Yea it's just here” Mully replied.
“Okay let’s see if it works or not” he said wondering if it will work or not.
Both of them walked down the stairs while Oscar and Adam were talking.
“So is that it?” Captain said while pointing at the “wheelbarrow”.
“Yup, it looks a little bit weird but trust me it works.” Adam said.
“ Okay,” Captain Andrew said. He walked to the wheelbarrow and picked it up to see if it worked…. It worked perfectly fine!
“Wow this really works well done you 3.” He said proud of them.
“Thanks!” all 3 of them said.
1 month later.
They started making more and more. People kept on buying it and they made a business called “Wheatabarrow”.
1 Year later.
It was the most popular thing around the island. The “Wheatabarrow” was basically a different kind of wheelbarrow but it didn’t last as long. But luckily it still worked and people used it lots. All 3 of them became really good friends and they were proud of each other.
